Christina and I just wanted to say thanks for the outstanding job you did selling our old home, and negotiating the purchase of our new home. Chris and I were astonished at what we got for our little craftsman. We knew that the market wasn't as hot as it had been, but getting $36,000 over our asking price was unbelievable. As I recently joined Cooley working out of the Kirkland office. I relocated from St. Louis, and was referred to Phil Patterson by a Kirkland Associate who had also recently joined the firm. Now that we've closed here, and closed back in St. Louis, I am approaching normal and had a few moments to send this note.

Working with Philip Patterson was a pleasure. He was professional, and as a local boy, knowledgeable about the area, and items that were of particular interest to us, including the school system, the commute, the local arts community, restaurants, etc. Because of the distance involved, we had a highly compressed house hunting schedule (literally two weekends.) Phil did a remarkable job of screening, posting information and communicating with my wife and I throughout the process. He uses e-mail effectively, and does do his homework. He's also a nice guy, and very easy to work with, an important factor since moving and house hunting rate right up there with divorce and new job as stressful life events. I was two for three, and Phil was a key player in keeping it from becoming three for three.

I don't know if Cooley maintains preferred relationships with realtors in it's various locations, but if anyone is relocating to the Kirkland area and needs a local broker, I would recommend Phil Paterson highly. I think his style complements Cooley's culture, and that you would be quite comfortable recommending him to prospects and relocating employees alike.
